After a much shorter break from my adventures, I came back to a bit of prosperity. My latest auctions I'd put up came in with their results, for a net profit of around one and a half gold - not a fortune, but enough, when I can get such results a few times in between tutoring sessions plus extra from my adventures themselves, to keep up my various training fees from both my guild and my various professions.
