Gamesright has written a review of Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction. The have no final rating given, but they really liked the addon:

Just to let you know these are just the biggest changes made in the expansion pack. When ever I review an x-pack it's based on a completely different criteria than that of a full game. You have to think of all the problems in the main game and fix them for starters. This can only be done by communicating with the gamers. Also, you have to see what's been added. The game should be slightly changed but, for lack of a better word, bigger. Lord of Destruction delivers in all of these categories. The biggest problem, however, is the x-pack's price. As stated before, you can buy the actual game for the same price as the x-pack. I do believe, though, that Blizzard can slide on this one because they've added a shitload of new content that'll last you at least 40-50 hours of pure role playing bliss. Happy gaming :-)
