Interesting take on the White Wolf PnP RPG. Fun at first, but totally linear storyline gets old in time. Multiplayer was ambitious, but fell flat (before its time). |

What a letdown. I'm a huge fan of the pen & paper V:tM game, but this game is just a pretty-looking Diablo clone with vampires in it and a really shitty interface. Avoid at all costs. |

A solid adventure/crpg. Decent and very long story. Great graphics. The moding community didn't live up to expectations on this one though. Still an enjoyable single player game. |

Decent game but a glaring example of why when most PnP games are ported to the computer they are non linear. After the first few hours you'll end up trudging through the game to finish the story and never looking at it again. |

I've seen better. A game I was looking forward to, but something that didn't quite live up to expectations. A few of the design decisions in the making of this game really made a game that had all the markings of one of the greats into something much less. Probably worth a look still, but there is better out there. If you are a PnP RPG-er and haven't played PnP V:tM, then you should. You may wish to avoid the CRPG, thats all. |

Fantastic scenery and graphics, great sounds and an ambitious story. Totally linear with a nasty interface and non-manipulative world ruins the experience though. Still, the game is pretty enough for me to spend an hour here and there in it just to get to see another in-game movie or world view. Imagine this game with an open world and non-linear story! |

It was repetitive, not very interactive, the acting left a bit to be desired, and it was very linear. However, despite all the problems, I still liked it. I don't know if it was just the atmosphere or what? Maybe I just really liked being a Vampire. I don't know... |

i really enjoyed this title. the graphics were good & the game play was nice. however, there was too little room for wandering...so it drops from a 9.5 to and 8 in my book. |

Without the 1.1 patch: Score = 6
With the 1.1 patch: Score = 9
The gold version f the game was almost uplayable: one could not save anywhere and could not pause combat to issue orders, these two things were a receipe for disaster.
The patch fixes those two things, but unfortunately the reviewers reviewed the unpatched version, therefore the game did not receive the scores it merits.
So bottom line: GET IT. PATCH IT. ENJOY IT.

One of my favorite games! High creep factor, good grapics for the time, great story and the best acting of any game I've played. VTM:R Only loses points for the terrible pathfinding. |

I really, really love this game :) I love how they actually got into the story part, clans and such, and not just copied everything from the pnp game. And the characters are so cool and real (well, as far as vampires go, at least) Would love to see a sequel !! |

Vampire ist ein eigentliches sehr gutes Spiel. Ein sehr guter Spieleinstieg bringt hohe Motivation. der weitere Spielverlauf ist allerdings etwas schleppend und kommt in der Neuzeit völlig zum erliegen. |

After the patches are inserted this game actually works. Too bad the battle scenes still are a mesh. Excellent plot with beatiful graphics, music and well done voice acting. Thumbs up, and awaiting for sequel.

Didn't like the lack of control over your party buggers kept running into bad combat situations.
Story was quite good but once you got to the modern age it seemed to get less interesting. |

This was a great game. Very difficult at times due to some control issues, but I am playing it again right now and it still has so much great atmosphere. The graphics are better than many games that are coming out now, and it is a few years old. A really great game that strives to capture the ambiance and eerie feel of a great vampire setting. |

An ambitious undertaking that fell flat when entering the modern-age. The guns, flame-throwers, chainsaws etc. were a total farce, I kept a sword and did more damage with that :-s I liked the idea very much. |

Though it's 3 years old , but it's great especially the graphics.The storyline was Excellent in the first part but the second one was "not so good". The atmaspher was cool & the characters were also v. good.
The problems are :
1.the weapons...I used an axe in 1999 cause it worked better.
2. No character creation & poor levelling-up.
3.BAD combat.

Pros: Very close to the table-top game, entertaining story, eras are well chosen, graphically beautiful.
Cons: End boss is ridiculously strong. Making your own modules (an advertised feature) almost impossible. |
