GamePlasma has reviewed D&D Online, with a score of 8.6/10:
The detail in the environments truly sets the game apart from other MMOPRGs. Cobwebs, flames, and the texturing of your surroundings along with many other tiny details truly make the game a pleasure to look at as you slay your way through. Lighting plays a huge part in third person games, due to the fact that you have to look over your characters shoulder. The game makes excellent use of lighting to bring out the fullness of objects and also adds atmosphere to the various locations. Darker more sinister lighting is used in sewers and dungeons while brighter, more vibrant lighting is used to create an obvious contrast on, say, an island, bringing the surrounding plants and trees to life.
