HomeLan Fed has conducted an interview with Anoop Shekar from Volition about the company's upcoming Playstation 2 exclusive RPG Summoner II.

Here's a snip:
HomeLAN - What was the development team's goal in creating the sequel?

Anoop Shekar - Our goal with Summoner 2 was to make a tighter more refined game than Summoner, and to create a more immersive experience altogether. With the way Summoner 2 has been coming along, I think we’ve achieved those goals and more.

HomeLAN - What can you tell us about the storyline for Summoner 2?

Anoop Shekar - The storyline of Summoner 2 takes place about 20 years after the first game. All of the action takes place on the other side of the world from Medeva and Orenia, where the first game took place. Maia, the Queen of Halassar, is prophesied to be the incarnation of Laharah. In the first game Laharah was thought to be an evil goddess, but in this part of the world she’s worshipped as a kind and benevolent god. Maia has learned from a book that she has some higher destiny, but she’s not sure what that destiny is. The game opens with her on a quest to discover that destiny.
