What was hailed as "revolutionary" instead turned out to be a quite competent Diablo clone that goes light on the role-playing and heavy on the blowing stuff up. While having no load screens is nice, it would have been nicer to have some replayability. All those lovingly hand-crafted worlds just ended up making the game boring after they've been explored once. Dungeon Siege is still a feather in Chris Taylor's cap, but any claims that it revolutionized the genre are way overblown.
