The latest episode in Gamespy's Lost in Vaan'diel diary series is up. This one is subtitled My Best Friend's Shredding and talks about the failure of soloing in FFXI:Call me a jerk, call me a loner, but I really didn't want to have to rely on other players to enjoy Final Fantasy XI. I wanted to experience as much as the game had to offer as I could, alone. I only knew one person in the game, and that was from real-life connections. The prospect of striking up friendships with strangers didn't appeal to me. See? I'm a shy jerk. While I heard that FFXI was not a very solo-friendly game, I thought I'd try my best to go it alone anyway. |
