The next of the big boys to slap up their KotOR 2 review is PC.IGN, where Obsidian's sequel scored 8.7/10. Here's an excerpt:PC RPG fans really haven't had much to choose from recently. While we saw a couple of decent PC releases last year, no one's come close to BioWare's excellent Knights of the Old Republic. And while the console players have been singing the praises of Shadow Hearts and Fable, we've just had to sit there waiting in the queue, watching the minutes tick by until World of Warcraft would let us in.
Well we finally have a new offline fix in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Though developed by Obsidian this time around, this sequel to 2003's Game of the Year won't seem too terribly different to players of the original. There are some new surprises here and there but the developer's playing it safe by sticking to the same model. But that's not surprising given the request we made after finishing the first game. To wit: More same, please. |
