Outer Edge has reviewed Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance for PS2. Their rating is a soldi B+, but you can't say they are enthusiastic about this game:
All in all, Dark Alliance is nothing but a pure dungeon crawl... albeit an excellent dungeon crawl. The wonderful technical achievements are only the start, as the gameplay comes together to provide an extremely entertaining time, despite a few flaws. Even when it is all over, which happens rather quickly, you still have the desire to delve right back in to the game, whether it be with a new character or with another person by your side. Even though the story is a little thin and there could always be more characters, creatures and locales, Dark Alliance will provide you with repeated fun and enjoyment and helps set a new standard for console dungeon crawls.
