Amberstar: 9/10 points |
One of my alltime fave rpgs. Superb atmosphere and awesome music (Amiga version). I still miss it. Some dull dungeons lower the score to a 9 though... |
Captive: 8/10 points |
Superb atmosphere and a fun interface and gamesystem. It was really funny equipping those androids and zooming around the quite large solarsystem. |
Champions Of Krynn: 9/10 points |
One of the true classics and one of the best, albeit easiest, of SSI:s classic gold box line. |
Dark Queen of Krynn: 8/10 points |
One of the best (And unfortunately hardest. I never finished it..) of the old classic crpgs. Great story and an abundance of sickeningly hard battles. |
Eye of the Beholder: 9/10 points |
Superb game... great graphics and a ominious atmosphere... iwas really freaked out in the dwarven catacombs... poisoned with no antidote... |
Eye of the Beholder 2 - The Legend of Darkmoon: 9/10 points |
Almost as good as part 1. Better dungeons, but way too hard at times. Back then at least. |
Fallout Tactics - The Brotherhood of Steel: 9/10 points |
A superb game (With only slight rpg-influences though). |
Hero Quest: 7/10 points |
This is light crpg, but very enjoyable. |
Hexplore: 6/10 points |
A decent action rpg with some nice graphics. Got kinda tiresome after a while. |
Hillsfar: 6/10 points |
I had a lot of fun with the C64 version of this game. Being able to play with different characters helped a lot, though in the end it was quite repetitive. |
Hired Guns: 9/10 points |
Superb, but hard. The graphics and sounds were great! |
Ishar 2 - Messengers of Doom: 8/10 points |
Superb graphics and great atmosphere makes this an old favorite of mine. |
Legacy of the Ancients: 9/10 points |
One of the real classics from the c64... oh, all those night spent fighting in the dungeons... |
Magic & Mayhem: 7/10 points |
A decent remake of the best game of all time: Lords of chaos. So so story and graphics but the semi-random gameplay makes for a challenging game. I had lots of fun. |
Might & Magic 7 - For Blood and Honor: 9/10 points |
My favorite of all the M&M:s. Superb story and a really well designed gameworld. The Barrow downs for instance.. a dull, creepy wasteland with wights waiting to attack in the faraway distance.... The chance to play as evil also increases the fun. Yes, the graphics arent hot, but the gameplay easily outweighs that little insignificance. |
Might & Magic 8 - Day of the Destroyer: 6/10 points |
A letdown after part 6 & 7, but still a decent game. |
Odium: 9/10 points |
Another all time fave. The atmosphere in the ruin city is awesome and the music helps alot. The game is basically a mix between your average point/click adventure and a turnbased strategy game in the HOMM vein. Decent adventuring, super graphics and incredibly fun battles makes this a really good game. It would be a 10, if it wasnt for the fact that it is quite linear, and not as long as I would've wanted. |
Sentinel Worlds - Future Magic: 8/10 points |
Interesting and entertaining Scifi rpg with a good plot and a great engine. Tons of fun to be had. |
System Shock 2: 10/10 points |
One of the best games ever. Period. I've finished it ten times and I still cant enough of its wonderful atmosphere.... |
Thunderscape - World of Aden: 8/10 points |
A solid rpg with good graphics, a good system and a nice, dark world. |
Ultima 9 - Ascension: 8/10 points |
I'm giving this a high grade because of the game itself which I enjoyed immensly. However, if I should rate the crappy engine as well, the grade would ease toward a 4 or 5... |
Waxworks: 8/10 points |
Fun and gory with great graphics! The mine level is really creepy... |
