Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction: 7/10 points |
This expansion dosen't change anything major about Diablo 2, it just adds stuff. Adds alot in fact. 2 new classes with full new skill trees, tons of new items and tons of new and interesting ways to use them. If you feel that after beating the original Diablo 2, you could still continue doing the same thing in new settings, then get this expansion. |
Elder Scrolls 2 - Daggerfall: 9/10 points |
Daggerfall is a great game. Like the ultimas, it featured exploration and a very interactive world. The world wasn't very interactive in itself, but theres was LOTS to do. This is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it was buggy, but this never, in the least, prevented me from enjoying the game. Some people have had more luck with the bugs, maybe I was one of them. I spent many sleepless nights doing quests and exploring dungeons, building my character while not even following or thinking about the main quest. The only real problem was that it was way too generic, and exploration felt rather boring. Now we can only hope that Morrowind will succeed. With a hand-crafted world and even more features than in Daggerfall, I can't see how it couldn't. |
Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 10/10 points |
Yes this game has flaws, yes it's not perfect, but damn it's fun. What more do you want? |
Ultima 9 - Ascension: 7/10 points |
Aside from the engine problems, this game is solid entertainment. I suggest applying all the patches. With all of them, the game is very playable, but it is still slow due to the engine. I had hours and hours of fun playing this game, mainly due to exploration. You have this relatively big world and there is caves, secrets and stuff to find everywhere! I spent entire nights just exploring, and it was a blast. The story is nothing spectacular, the character development either, but still, this game is Ok in what it dosen't do very well. If only it wasn't so buggy or slow at first, people might have given it a chance. |
