Warcry has posted an article titled Wish in one hand that looks at the prospect of more MMOs being cancelled in coming years:"After careful consideration of all the facts and analyzing all the data which we have gathered from the Wish Beta 2.0 test so far, we have decided to cancel the Wish project."
With this single line of text, Mutable Realms lowered the gate on their "ultra" MMOG-in-development, Wish, and while the cancellation of a game can never entirely be considered a good thing, one can't help but wonder if a little consideration of facts and analysis of data could've prevented all of this from happening in the first place.
I'm not an MMOG guy. Don't play 'em, don't follow 'em. (We'll leave discussion about the irony of writing for Warcry for another day.) But I do know a little bit about a few things, some of which may actually be relevant. |
