Don't really know why but I just thought I'd check the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic forums at BioWare for finding out which version of the game is currently more appealing to gamers.
The outcome of my little investigation is devastating for Lucas Arts' plans to release the X-Box version by the end of this year and the PC version a full year later at the end of 2003.
Just look at the amount of forum posts. The X-Box forums currently hold 56 topics @ 360 posts whereas the PC version has scored 111 topics @ 1328 posts so far. That's roughly a 1:2 (topics) or 1:4 (posts) ratio in favor of the PC version. Quite impressive.
Of course, this is going to change as the X-Box becomes more and more popular (well, it *is* very "popular" in Japan these days *eg* (story)). But a 1:4 ratio in favor of the PC version of Knights of the Old Republic is hopefully going to make Lucas Arts reconsider if late 2003 is not a tad bit too far off track for PC gamers.
