PC.IGN has some first impressions of the freshly-released Horizons. Here's the skinny:Now you may ask - what good is a stable game without content? So I am happy to report that although not entirely ready while in beta (and I will elaborate on this) Horizons has plenty of content for anyone below level 30. Unlike other games, all options will be open for you when you join the game on day one. Sorry, but I can't comment on the higher levels, since I haven't made past level 30. But the interesting thing is that although I could get the impression of how huge this game is in size, it was apparent that many areas were not open for beta participants. Yes, there were invisible barriers restricting testers from entering certain places, where much more content is supposed to be ready at release. Now, as hinted at before, not all ended smooth with beta. The game still had one noticeable flaw with its group combat lag. This is obviously part of the youth illnesses I was referring to earlier. |
