And another DAoC newsbit: there is a guide to the interface of Dark Age of Camelot at Camelot Warcry. Here's what it's all about:
This document will hopefully give you a nice tour of the different aspects of the user interface in DAoC. This doesn't include a command reference, you'll have to look somewhere else for that, but if you're interested in a look around the different windows that make up the UI, then this is probably the place to start.
One question you may be asking already is how customizable the interface is - as you read through these pages, keep in mind that any of the windows you see described are positionable to almost anywhere you want them (usually with the small button in the upper-left of each) and can be individually set to different transparancies ranging from completely opaque to near invisible. These settings are also stored on a per-character basis, and will save across play sessions.
Please note that the display configuration, as well as the quickbar icons, are saved in a file in your Camelot directory. If you plan on reformatting your system, or want to transfer the settings to another PC, copy the [character].ini files from the main directory and transfer them to the same location on the other computer. This will allow you to keep the same settings across multiple systems. |
