Gamecloud's John "JCal" Callaham investigates the internal workings of the Dark Age of Camelot: Darkness Rising in this rather interesting interview with Mythic's Sanya Weathers...
Gamecloud - How did the idea for Dark Age of Camelot: Darkness Rising come about?
Sanya M. Weathers - The team (led by Executive Producer Jeff Hickman and Camelot Producer Walt Yarbrough) had come up with a great idea about a rebellion within the realms, one so powerful that it required the direct involvement of the kings. (You may recall that we’ve never shown the kings before, or allowed players to interact with their sovereigns. They’ve been “behind the scenes” figures often mentioned, but never present.) Ultimately they decided that the most compelling enemy – and the one most likely to attack all three realms at the same time – would be from the underworld. It’s pretty badass.
