No more D&D for Bioware?

Is Bioware moving away from D&D based games and looking at using their own rules instead? If so why?

They why has been discussed quite a lot around here, the short version is "we want to create our own games in our own universe unrestricted from the things that come attached with any license, regardless how great it is".

As for completely going away for D&D - while it is true that we have no game based on D&D in the development right now, we are still activly supporting NWN and are planning to extend that support by providing access to new quality modules/campaigns in the near future with our Digital Distribution project (which you can learn more about by browsing the Witch's Wake forum).
