Newly-launched Wish OGaming has opened with an interview with unnamed Wish developers from Mutable Realms. Here's a clip:Wish Online: One of the most impressive features of Wish will be its constant live content and events. Given that the massive server is located in a US time zone, will you be able to cover the European and Asian time zones with an equivalent quality of events and live story team created quests straight from release?
MR: A lot of this will depend on the popularity of the game. The more subscribers, the more live storytellers we can hire, and the more people we hire, the more coverage we can provide. We are intentionally building our tools so that the story team can work regular hours, and still provide blanket coverage. For example, they can build quests and queue them up to go off over night, and over vacations, etc. The end result is that there will always be things occurring in Ganedan.
Another aspect is that much of the live content we unleash cannot simply be solved in a couple of hours. There will be epic encounters that can last for hours, days, or even weeks. This means that no matter what time you log on, you can still participate in the live story. |
