CamelotVault has posted an interview with Content Developer Walter "Copper" Yarbrough about Housing in Dark Age of Camelot. Here's an excerpt:
Camelot Vault: One major concern in the community is the lack of space. There are currently two zones per realm with 200 lots per zone. You have made it clear that you will be able to expand with new zones, but how easy will this be and how long would it take you to get a new zone up once you’ve decided there is need? Also will it be possible for a situation to arise where one less popular server (Andred for example) had only two zones, while a more popular server (say Merlin) had many more?

Copper: First, let me say – we will have rent attached to these houses, and we do expect that houses will be repossessed, and existing lots will re-open. So, there should be an influx of lots re-entering the marketplace.

Given the above, if we decide that there is need for additional housing, we can work towards building and launching one zone (with 200 houses per zone) per realm per patch and continue this, as needed.

We will not differentiate between a less popular server and a more popular server – which will lead to some empty housing on our less popular servers.
