Another MMORPG interview at HomeLan Fed, this time with NP Cube's Laurent Paret (VP Business Development and Programmer) and Stephane Quilichini (Game Designer) to find out more about Dark and Light. Here's a quote:
HomeLAN - How does Dark and Light handle character improvements and levels?

Stephane Quilichini - Two unique simultaneous axes of development exist for players: FXP (Fighting Experience Points) and SXP (Social Experience Points), FXP for Fighting Monsters and PVP mode, SXP for Exploration, Political and Economic systems. All the character improvement is based on a double skill system: points that the player could put on for the power of the skill, and the training for the non-missing rate of the skill. Only the training cursor of the skill could decrease with time when the skill is not enough used. Fighting skills are base on tree system like Diablo with a mix of research skills. Levels are top to 100 in FXP and SXP, DnL is not a leveling game, and you can take lot of pleasure to group with higher level than yourself.
