Taking a leaf out of Flagship Studios book, Brian Sullivan from Iron Lore (ex-Ensemble) has been interviewed at HomeLAN Fed about their as-yet unannounced action RPG:
HomeLAN - Because of your background at Ensemble, some people might expect Iron Lore’s first title to be a RTS title. Why was the decision made to make the game an action-RPG?

Brian Sullivan - Partly because I was burned-out on RTSs. I had been playing RTS games almost every day since WarCraft 2 was released, and after five plus years I needed a break. The main reason, though, was because I also love RPG games and I thought I could bring a lot of what I learned on Age of Empires to the RPG genre.
