Ill agree with everyone else on a 7. Some fun and engrossing combat, makes me feel skillful when i kill an orc or something. I played as the barbarian, would have played it with a different character if the storyline were different, but it wasnt, so bleah. |

I would give it an 8 mostly because unlike most games BoD actually allows you to develop real skills. Combat is not just clicking a mouse and a random number generator matched against the ai but requires real person's skill to defeat an enemy. The game feels very real in many aspects. Best and most real-feel bow and arrow system I have ever played. |

A great game that actually worked right as soon as it was installed without a patch! It wasn't an RPG and wasn't meant to be seen as one. It worked perfectly for what it was meant to be. |

I like this game...right away, the graphics and lighting knocked me out. I did not finish it, so can't comment on overall. Got stuck pretty solidly at some places, that could be better.
I expect to go back for another go. Pity the developers disbanded:( |

I liked this game a lot.Blade of darkness is an action with few rpg elements(leveling, making few choises, nothing really big).Fighting is the best i've ever see on pc screen,Combat really takes skill(after you lear how beat an orc,its rewarding experience!).it is also quite brutal experience..slicing limbs, heads off with realistic lookking bloodsprays really helps alot eliminating the stress;).Besides its lot of fun too!After seeing ,movies like Conan the barbarian or lord of the rings,ive dreamed a game like this ;-).BoD is a classic it's own way as there is no other game like bod, that creates so belivable immersion about sword fighting. Only that its mainly combat and some puzzle solving..If some developer could combine Bod combat system into real rpg game it would be instant hit.. |

After all these years, I still play Blade of Darkness. It is simply *the* best sword fighting simulator anywhere. Think of MechWarrior with Barbarians! |

Great atmosphere, great combat, lots of blood, fantasy world.. what more can you ask for. It does has its flaws but it doesn't really matter, it's such a cool game anyway. One of the best games I've played |
