WarCry has an editorial titled Middle Warez that outlines the claim of Vincent Pourieux of VWorld Technologies that 'Dark and Light' uses his technology. A Farlan response to the allegations is included and seems to make some valid points - but you be the judge:
Farlan’s Dark and Light is promising big things, like 15,444 square miles of game world to explore. To put that in perspective, that’s roughly the size of Vermont and New Hampshire combined. Not the hugest states, granted, but considering the previously-cramped world of MMOs, that’s a pretty big landmass to exist entirely in pixels and databases. What’s bigger than the engine, though, are the allegations of intellectual property theft, the outright stealing of technology from a competitor.
