BioWare: More Microsoft Buyout Rumours

You may well recall some rumours last year that BioWare would be purchased by Microsoft. Those rumours have resurfaced with Ferrago reporting that Polygon Magazine claims an announcement on the purchase will come at E3. HomeLAN Fed in turn has a response of sorts:
BioWare's upcoming Xbox action-RPG, Jade Empire, is based on an entirely new BioWare intellectual property and slated for a Holiday 2004 release. Microsoft is the publisher for Jade Empire. Microsoft is a certainly a valued business partner with whom BioWare enjoys a very positive and cooperative relationship.
I've included all this for the sake of comprehensive reporting but as far as I can see it's unsubstantiated speculation. Move along.
