eToychest has whipped up a preview of Larian's 'Beyond Divinity'. Here's a snip:The premise to Beyond Divinity is your hero is taken prisoner on the demon world of Nemesis. While captive you become bound to a demon, a Death Knight who is being punished by his master. The Death Knight doesn’t like this situation any more than you do and you both set out to find the one person that can undo your curse. The story unfolds over five acts, including the realm of the Battlefields. The first act is very linear, acting as an extended tutorial and introduction, but later acts become more and more open ended. Besides the main quest, there are also a variety of side-quests, including a massive amount of randomly generated side quests available in the Battlefields. If anyone complains about any Divinity being to short, they must be insane. Beyond Divinity has about 40 hours of core quest game play, with an estimated 6200 hours of game play from the built in side quests and the dynamically generated Battlefield quests. 6200 hours? The testers must have really earned their pay. ;) |
