Gamers with Jobs' Elysium has tackled a critique of 'Fable: The Lost Chapters'. As usual for GwJ there's no score in their review, so here's the summary:
Fable is not a bad game from an action perspective, but neither is it particularly outstanding. As a CRPG, however, it’s a pale comparison to the dramatically more detailed and more interesting worlds offered before. Much maligned for its short plot, I found myself relieved to be through with the game, ten hours apparently being about the volume of time for which I could muster enthusiasm or enjoyment. Playing Fable in the current drought of CRPGs is like drinking from a dusty hose after working under a hot sun all day; you’re grateful for any water you can get, but it wouldn’t have been your first choice.
