The first ever (at least in our database ;)) review of Icewind Dale II has popped up at SavePoint.co.uk. The reviewer awards the long awaited sequel 8.5 out of 10 points.

Here's a little teaser from this lenghty and excellent review:
So why buy Icewind Dale 2 if you've already got the prettier Neverwinter Nights? Well for one thing, there is nothing quite like controlling a whole group of adventurers rather than just one person on their own or as part of a online group. Of course, you can play Icewind Dale 2 online and do the same thing if you want, but it's great to be able to use the individual strengths of your characters to work as a team - and if you are greedy like me and want to wield both the most powerful magic and the best weapons the game has to offer ;-)

Secondly, I love Neverwinter Nights to bits and will continue playing it well into the next year - but I truly believe that Icewind Dale has a closer more accurate take on the 3rd Edition rules. This might mean little to those who don't play D&D based games, but trust me - it's a good, well balanced RPG system and the closer the better!
