RPGDot Game Rating Machine

MJ has rated the following games:

Betrayal at Krondor: 9/10 points

Fantastically fun! One of my fondest memories from childhood was playing this game through a few times. Great spell effects and a gripping storyline. Truly like being immersed in an epic novel.

Fallout Tactics - The Brotherhood of Steel: 8/10 points

A strange departure but enjoyable. The missions are extremely long with an advanced difficulty setting. It also took a long time to aquire decent weapons versus what you enemies where wielding (i.e., trying to defeat a squad of rocket wielding super mutants with an assault shotgun and hunting rifles). Despite it all I loved this game and enjoyed the flexibility of having different races and personalities that comprised your squad. Some of the missions are actually quite cool and I enjoyed planning out difficult assualts on bases. I will never forget the final charge of my deathclaw as he ran into enemy fire in order to save my squad that had been pinned down by an ambush. RIP.

Lionheart - Legacy of the Crusader: 4/10 points

I looked forward to this game for months. I wanted to love it, I really did. But I ultimately hated it. The interface is horrible. It takes up a third of the screen and renders distance weapon characters useless. You can barely see far enough ahead to launch one arrow before you are swarmed. At a certain point the combat becomes impossible without a melee character. I liked the idea behind the game and at times was drawn in. The religious element and encounters with famous people was neat and I enjoyed the graphica and isometric view. However it was ultimately a great disappointment.
