|
Baldur's Gate: 7/10 points |
A good RPG. The sequel was a little better, but that dosne't mean you shouldn't play through this one too. |
Betrayal at Krondor: 9/10 points |
Awesome game, even if the combat graphics are a little wonky. |
Chronicles Of the Sword: 4/10 points |
Rating from www.gamespot.com |
Dark Heart of Uukrul: 7/10 points |
A classic dungeon crawl, that is definetly worth a run-through. |
Dark Sun 1 - Shattered Lands: 8/10 points |
Perhaps one of the best AD&D rpgs ever made, right up there with the goldbox games. |
Dark Sun 2 - Wake of the Ravager: 5/10 points |
An OK game. Loses marks for being very buggy, and not as much fun as the original. |
Deus Ex: 9/10 points |
An awesome RPG/Action Hybrid, that offers a lot of freedom of choice. |
Diablo: 6/10 points |
A lot of fun at first, until you get sick of the whole, point-and-click style of gameplay. It is long before you realize that it offers little over the rail-shooters of yester-year. |
Dungeon Hack: 5/10 points |
Fun at first, but ultimately boring and repetitive. |
Entomorph - Plague of the Darkfall: 7/10 points |
A fun little adventure/RPG. Better then Thunderscape at least. |
Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 9/10 points |
An excellent RPG. Had a strong hand in the Rebirth of the RPG in the mid-late 90s. |
Fallout 2: 8/10 points |
Never really grabbed me quite as much as the original. |
Final Fantasy VIII: 5/10 points |
As a Squaresoft game (ie. interactive movie), it's pretty good. Stronger characters and plot then most of the other games in the Final Fantasy series.
As a game though, it falls short, much like every other later game in the series. Could be played through by a monkey with an arcade stick and big buttons. |
Gateway to the Savage Frontier: 7/10 points |
A decent game, although I'd guess it sucks compared to the rest of the Goldbox games. |
Heretic: 5/10 points |
As a game: 8/10
As an RPG: 2/10
|
Icarus - Sanctuary of the Gods: 3/10 points |
Not bad, but not spectacular. |
Magic The Gathering: 6/10 points |
A decent conversion of the CCG, although, with only limited access to sets, and no multi-player support, it had limited potential.
PS> And despite what Mr. Lubo thinks, I am not a 'fagg'. |
Neuromancer: 9/10 points |
A ground-breaking adventure title, that is a just a lot of fun to play. |
Quest for Glory 1 - So You Want to be a Hero?: 8/10 points |
A classic Adventure game from Sierra. Best in the series. |
Quest for Glory 3 - Wages of War: 7/10 points |
Another fun game in the Quest for Glory saga. |
Shannara: 4/10 points |
A short adventure. Perhaps the worst that Legend has ever released. |
Thunderscape - World of Aden: 4/10 points |
Uncompelling, ugly, and buggy as all-hell. A poor introduction to SSI's World of Aden. |
Unlimited Adventures: 8/10 points |
A fun game, with boundless potential. Look for Mycroft's Module List for hundreds of modules developed for use with this. |
War of the Lance: 3/10 points |
A very poor Action-RPG hybrid. One of the worst D&D products. |
Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos: 4/10 points |
Starcraft was better. Beyond which, this is an RPG site, and as an RPG, this game just dosen't stack up. |
Wizardry 6 - Bane of the Cosmic Forge: 9/10 points |
The second best game in the series, only behind the sequel, Crusaders of the Dark Savant. |
Wizardry 7 - Crusader of the Dark Savant: 10/10 points |
The best RPG ever released on ANY platform. Bar none. |
Wizardry 8: 8/10 points |
One of the best of a recent crop of RPGs, it is still a far cry from it's distinguished forbearers. |
