A neat little game that set a standard when it first arrived. It is an amusing mixture of RPG and turn based strategy game that's so well executed that even I, who usually hate strategy games, really enjoyed it and played it till the end. Efficient graphics, nice sound (for its time) and excellent gameplay, although I found the game to be a bit short.. And after a while you could actually GUESS where/how to finish the game.. Great game anyhow! |

The only thing I ahted was it ended too soon. Paid good money for this was I was a kid only to finish it in 2 days. Imagine my surprise when I played a game called Heroes of Might Magic 13 years later and it had nothing to do with the Might and Magic series. |

I am still shocked this day when I meet "old school" PC Gamers who somehow missed this game when it was released.
This is the grand daddy (precursor) to the Heroes of Might and Magic series.
In it's time it was a unique and very fun strategy RPG game (possibly the only one) with graphics and sound on par or better than anything released around the same time.
Highly HIGHLY recommended. Go back to the roots of RPG and PC Gaming with this jewel! |

I got this puppy during XMAS for my Genesis, shortly after it came out back in the day. To this day, only Civilization I and II have been a more engrossing gaming experience for me! |

This was a gem of a little game that seemed to slip under the radar. I had it for the Macintosh years ago, and found it completely addicting. The ancestor of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, it's not much of a traditional RPG, but the unique monster recruiting, colorful villains, and fortress-grabbing made it a whole lot of fun. |

This isn't exactly an RPG, but more of a turn based strategy game with some RPG elements built into it. Anyhow, since it's on this list, I might as well review it. It's loads of fun, has great armies for you to control, an interesting story (that you can actually solve by guessing) and a fantasy world that's sure to please the D&D nerds of the world. Great game! |
