We just received a press release from SOE informing us that the Macintosh edition of Everquest went retail today. Here's the traditional press talk:

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE) is pleased to announce that EverQuest(TM) Macintosh Edition is now available at retail. For the first time, over 25 million Apple Macintosh gamers running OS X will be able to experience the leading massively multiplayer online role-playing game. EverQuest Macintosh Edition carries a suggested retail price of $49.99 and includes a 30 day subscription to the game.

With compelling content, top-notch customer service and an online world that continues to expand and improve, EverQuest is one of the largest fantasy worlds ever created online. EverQuest is a real-time 3D massively multiplayer online role-playing game where hundreds of thousands of players come together to take on the personas of brave warriors and mystical wizards then adventure across the face of a huge world (as well as its moon and extra-planar zones), fighting hordes of monsters and uncovering treasure troves of magical artifacts. EverQuest Macintosh Edition includes: EverQuest® Classic and its first four expansions: The Ruins of Kunark®, The Scars of Velious®, The Shadows of Luclin(tm) and The Planes of Power(tm).
