An Iritor Online Interview with Roman Kremlicka has been posted at Gamespimp. Here's a part of it:
JC: One of the largest problems of Everquest for casual gamers was the dependence on others to do anything productive. Most post-Everquest MMORPG’s have made an effort to make things easier on casual players by allowing them to solo efficiently, while still rewarding them for grouping. One of the unfortunate side effects has been that the high end game in most of these titles has suffered. There hasn’t been enough challenging content for larger guilds. What can we expect the high end game in Iritor Online?
RK: We will try to give large guilds meaningful high-end content with the global story quests which will often require the cooperation of large groups on different levels. They do not always have to cooperate in a strictly organized way though, thus making partial achievements possible for solo players or small groups. Fair enough we have to say that our main focus lies on improving the game for our whole customer base not for those who scream loudest but we do recognize the importance of power guilds and special players who form the backbone of the online community and enrich the world trough their deeds. |
