RPGDot Game Rating Machine

kelendil has rated the following games:

Arx Fatalis: 6/10 points

I just don't know why this game is at the third position. Arx is far from being the third best mmorpg to date. Maybe it's just me, but I can't get into the game. The graphics are not that extraordinary. The music is not good. There is nothing so special about the magic system, it's copied on Black and White anyway.

Dark Age of Camelot: 8/10 points

Excellent MMORPG, it could be better than EverQuest if it had more high level content. The graphics are very good, the classes are well done, although they still need a lot of balancing.

Dungeon Siege: 5/10 points

This RPG requires no skill, no thinking, no brain. Grab a sword and kill, kill kill. You dont even have to click monsters to kill fight just move near. It gets boring extremely fast. All you have to do is move around from village to village killing every monster on the path. The music is very good though.

Earth And Beyond: 4/10 points

I have played this game since beta of november 2001. This game has many flaws. First of all the battles are boring. There's almost nothing to do there except fire your weapon a couple of times, you almost don't even have to move around. The graphics are good, but I don't really like the ships models. The graphics of your ship do not change much when you buy new equipment. You don't really see other people in space because you'll always be traveling at warp speed during which you can't do anything except chat and look at the view passing by. Almost no one groups, everyone solos in E&B. If you liked EverQuest where you can group and play for hours with people, than you will get bored with E&B. In E&B, travelling is actually in two dimensions. You can go up and down, but not that much. The "zones" are flat, the maps are not 3D. But this is not a space sim, so I guess it's ok. This game is not really interesting. I'll wait for Eve Online for an online space game.

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 7/10 points

Good attempt at a non linear RPG world. The game is really too easy though. Interaction with NPCs sucks. Quests are not very fun. Dungeons are very small compared to Daggerfall and some other RPGs. Good graphics, although the NPCs are not that pretty.

EverQuest: 10/10 points

This is the best MMORPG to date. The most addictive game I've ever played.

Final Fantasy VII: 8/10 points

Although, not the best in the series, FF7 is a lot of fun to play. The story is also very interesting. But play the playstation version, the PC ports of console games are never really good.

Icewind Dale: 10/10 points

Very fun battles. Good graphics. Great music and sounds.

Icewind Dale 2: 10/10 points

Linearity in RPGs can be good, just look at the Icewind Dale series. Very fun game, lots of battles, requires more strategy than most RPGs. The art team on IW2 is extremely talented. Lots of action!

Might & Magic 4 - Clouds of Xeen: 10/10 points

Extremely fun game!

Might & Magic 5 - Darkside of Xeen: 10/10 points

Extemely fun game!

Ultima 9 - Ascension: 10/10 points

I recently bought this title, with all the patches and the recent hardware, this game runs very fine. It's a lot of fun!

Wizardry 8: 7/10 points

Pretty good game... Good graphics, sounds, quests. Way too many battles though.
