The GameWatchers talked with Marko Dieckmann of Duplex Systems' in an Link about their upcoming MMORPG Face of Mankind. Here's a bit about NPCs:
GW: What will the NPC interaction be like in missions and organizations?
Duplex: Face of Mankind´s missions will not be like finding a special non player character or any other scripted events. Our missions are real and created by the highest level characters. Human NPC´s will play a role in missions as they are civilians and killing civilians always must be an event to avoid. But the most important non player characters will be the aliens. They will play a very important role for combat missions as the story evolves. These aliens are not only some hostile characters filling the game world, there are overall tactics behind their movements. |
