TenTonHammer has put up a review of Big Blue Box'/Lionhead's/Microsoft Games' XBox RPG 'Fable'. Rating: 4/5.
Eden Ahbez's Nature Boy could easily describe one person's journey through Fable. People have been talking about the game for about as long as they have been talking about the XBox. The killer app, the greatest RPG in history, and other whimsical quotes have been knocked about by the developers, the promoters and the press. There are many misconceptions out there about Fable, fueled by the relentless hype machine and accelerated by the grandiose promises made when Fable was but a twinkle in the eyes of the Lionhead team. Well, it's finally here with scaled back promises, shrouded in so much rumour and idle message forum chatter that quite frankly most people have no idea what the final version of Fable was intended to be. It's more than a day late. Will it be more than a dollar short? And which measuring stick will you use to judge?
