A preview of Taldren's tactical RPG 'Black IX' can be found at Gamers.com.

Here's a bit:
Taldren, the developer behind Black 9, is hiding something--a new game that's almost impossible to sum up in a couple words. Is it an RPG? Is it an action game? Is it Battlefield 1942 in space? It's a little of all three, and the guys behind Star Trek: Starfleet Command III hope to deliver both a deep, story-driven single-player campaign and a strong set of multiplayer modes in one box.
