--== TIPS ==--

-Sunken Ghost Ship (submitted by Lysinda)
If you sail north of YEW (north of the northwestern tip of land) just off the actual map you will find a sinking ghost ship. It is transluecent an a little slow to move around on but there is a key in a crate on the poop deck that opens a chest in the crowsnest. The only way I could get up there was to us levitate then teleport. The chest contains a few hundred coins and some potions.

-Dead Farmer (submitted Ross Luttrell)
South of the column next to Despise, you can see the cart and the bones of the farmer that was squished in the introduction movie.

-Frozen Horse (submitted Ross Luttrell)
North of the Empathy Abbey ruins and east of the Ice Dragon (that's on top of the big iceberg), there is a horse frozen in the ice.

-Empath Abbey
Empath Abbey is in the valley (1) inside the snow covered mountains (look at your map ctrl-m); Just northeast of the tower on the map. The tower is where you started your quest.) Meet Brock in Empath Abbey. Light the 3 Golden torches and stand in the fire that appears between the two. Climb up and get the 'Candle of LOVE'.

-The Ice Sword
Is in a valley very near to Empath Abbey. Kill the dragon nearby. Get up on the top of the big iceberg and cast Ethereal Sight and you will see it. If you don't have Ethereal Sight scroll, Just drag your mouse into your beltpack until you get it.

-Healing Teleporters

"There are three rock spires right on the beach (south of 12), if you jump on the lower two they are teleporters, the taller one creates a fourth pillar that will heal you if/when you jump on it."

-Richard McIntyre

-Secrets in a Hidden Lake
Find your way to the lake (5) Northwest of Britain. Walk around it and look for a cave entrance under the water. The brigands have stored their treasure inside.

-Phyllis Jones Grave

"On my way to Dungeon Destard which after the tunnel connecting Yew and Britain, I went to the direction of the column to the west of the map. Got totally lost with no direction of where to go. So I decided to climb some mountains in the south. Stumbled on this interesting find. It's exact location is 21"57' S 40"31'W Enjoy!"

-More Romance, and a Lost Family?

As you are going west through the goblin camp (32) to get to Yew, head south past the statue on the hill and the braziers and look for a grassy hill. If you go up this hill, you should find a valley to the southeast. When entering the valley, you are first greeted by two trees with initials carved in branch-stumps:

"LM + MC" on one tree, and "Victor (heart) Maria" on the other.

Continue to follow the valley and you'll find lots of flower arrangements and
two small headstones: "Alex" and "Michael".

Further on, past yet more flowers, is a gravesite with a headstone:

"In Loving Memory of Phyllis Jones"
"You were my muse"
"I am your legacy"

-What do I do with all the 'Ghost Jewelry'?
If you find the 'Ghost Necklace', place it in the open empty crypt in the mausoleum in Minoc. You get a Karma boost and the ghosts in the area calm down and stop bothering people. It's a good guess that the Bracelet and others should be placed in other crypts throughout the game.

"I have managed to find only two pieces of ghost jewelry, namely the bracelet (in the hidden cave west of Britain) and the necklace in Minoc. Both pieces of jewelry have to be placed in the Minoc mausoleum in order to receive a karma boost and complete that "quest." The first item placed will disappear, and when the second item is placed you'll hear the karma boost sound as that item disappears too. It doesn't matter which item you place first."

-Aaron B

-Melvin the Mage.
The Mad Sorcerer is North of Paws off the beaten path (49). You'll find a levitate scroll.

-Secret 2-handed Skill Level
From a treasure map found in Minoc. You can swim down from your boat as long as you stand near the top of the dome in the water your breath doesn't run out. Near by there is a wooden dock in the water (13). Under the docks: swim down to the structure. Click on the two statues to remove the forcefield. Inside, you must read the book.

"Upon getting to the entrance, touch the two statues on either side of the force field. After gaining access, a coffin can be found inside, (need to enter a building.) Open the coffin lid, read the book inside.

I found that getting out was a little tricky. Seems as though there is a bug if you save while under water. The game crashes to desktop as soon as you go to above water viewing (only after a game has been restored.) Finding a spot by the platform that does not register as deep water is a little tricky. The only spot I found was by one of the corners (on the left and past the bubbles, but still under the platform, if you are looking up from the enterance from the burial place.) Secondly, getting up onto the platform again was a trick. I used the empty bottle trick. Floated the bottle in the water, climbed onto the bottle, then jumped to the platform. Carful placement of the ship wont hurt either, for purposes of getting back onto it from the platform."

-Jouster <=>

"I have noticed that when you try to get the book for the two-handed master skill, you can't just grab it and float up. You have to open it while its in the tomb, or you won't be able to use the move later."

-Mark E. Scott Jr.

"At the place where you dive down to get the last 2-hand technique, you can get back into your boat by left-clicking on it, followed by a brief right click. This will work anywhere provided that the cursor is green. Of course, you can drown quickly in deep ocean, so you have to do the whole procedure quickly."

-Paul Roy

This part about the book might be a bit buggy for some people. I was able to read the book; after a couple of tries. Some people have written in saying, they actually had to PRACTICE the technique to learn it.

-Tomb of the Undead Warrior
Northwest (49) of Paws, Find your way to climb the mountain. There is a tomb there. The ghost there are tough, but you will find a great two handed sword.

-Cannonballs
There is an underwater cave in the gulf by the broken bridge on the main continent (It is on the NE side (43) on the east coast.). Jump into the water and swim to the end.

-Locations of Lighthouse Gems

Emerald: Buc's Den. Guarded by some pirates in a cave along the southern coastline (4).
Sapphire: Southeast of Yew. In a barrel near a guard overlooking the garden maze (48) of Britain's castle.
Ruby: In a sunken ship along the Western Trinsic coastline (6).

Unfortunately, all you get for completing this quest is a lousy 100 gold pieces.

-Alex Pelton

-Shamino.
You will speak to Shamino at the begining of the game near the Shrine of Compassion (7). Later, in Yew (8), he tells you how do free him from the Ethereal Void. In Skara Brae (9), he tells you to get the Ankh in Britain and return to the Well of Souls.

-Finding Shrines Tip
Bring up your map (ctrl-m). The shrine locations are marked with golden ankhs. You must have a sextant for this to work.

-For the Locations of Sigils, weapons trainers, and other items check the Items list.
