They say Gothic 2 is the new reference for RPGs and they state that it is the game of the year 2002. Gamesurf rates the game 88% and dishes out an Award of Excellence. They spot some slight weak points with graphics and gameplay as well as with the controls, but say it is a very satisfying single player experience nevertheless. Gamesweb rates it 92%, giving Gothic 2 awards: Game of the Week and Gamesweb Award. The reviewer says he is addicted to the game, especially because of the quests and the NPCs. 4Players rates Gothic 2 88%, sees some weak points in the story and praises voice acting and the general game flow.
