Given the popularity of the vampire mythos among young, disassociated youths, it’s surprising that there hasn’t been more computer role-playing games based on White Wolf’s Vampire: The Masquerade. The last one, VTM: Redemption was a glorified Diablo clone that utterly failed to capture the style of the source material. The latest attempt, Troika’s Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines might accurately be described as Deus Ex with pointy teeth, but there’s a lot more to the story--both good and bad.
