Gigex have reviewed D&D: Heroes for the Xbox. Unfortunately it seems to have fallen short of it's aspiration to beat BG: Dark Alliance with a score of 2/5. Here's an excerpt:
Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes is a very good idea with extremely poor execution. The four player co-op play and seven huge levels give this game had nothing but potential. It's too bad everything else is completely sub-par. After awhile with this game, even the little things like below average graphics and character animations were starting to get to me. I had to turn the brightness all the way up on my HDTV just to see things clearly. The four player fun ran out in the first hour, and the complete lack of story throughout the game just made things worse. After a day I wanted nothing more than to just complete the game so I could write this review and trade it in. Skip this one and wait for Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II or Champions of Norrath next year.
