In the 14th installment in its Hero's Journey peek series, RPG Vault learns about the wood sprites that inhabit the forests of Simutronics' world.
Elanthian Wood Sprites

Artistic Inspiration
The wood sprites came about as part of an effort to infuse the enchanted forests of Elanthia with a necessary spark of life. Though we could have gone any number of directions with their design, it seemed like an appropriate place to utilize a somewhat traditional but popular notion of what denizens of the faerie realm look like - diminutive and delicate, colorful, nimble and capable of flight. In keeping with the blue-tinged forests, the coloration of the wood sprites is cool in tone with an animal theme; their wings borrowed from butterflies and their speckled skin influenced by vibrantly colored rainforest frogs.
