Frictionless Insight informs us that they have written an preview of Neverwinter Nights, based on their E3 experience. Here's a little something:
The interface was surprisingly intuitive. The demo gave us use of an 18th level fighter and a 20th level wizard, so there was no shortage of potential spells and abilities to use. The wizard, admittedly, was more complex than the fighter with many levels of spells and special abilities, but everything could be easily accessed in just a few clicks, and favorite abilities or attacks could be hot-keyed with ease. Multiplayer down time was minimal, as a character low on health or magic could rest up in short order. When far from monsters and more than a few seconds out of combat, you simply sit down, and recover while in a vulnerable state. Moreover, each character could rest independently of the other party members, so play need not come to halt for one player to rest. |
