RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Mortal Coil has rated the following games:

Planescape: Torment: 9/10 points

I'm not a huge fan of the Baldur's Gate series, so I was PLEASANTLY surprised when i played this game. What a fantastic and engaging story! Also, the characters in your party are some of the most interesting i've run into since Ultima 4. Also, the option to talk your way through encounters is just brilliant. I don't know why this game wasn't more popular when it came out.

Temple of Apshai Trilogy: 8/10 points

This game and Castle Wolfenstein are two of the first computer games I ever owned (Commodore 64). Temple of Apshai was a blast! It was my first experience with a computer role-playing game. My rating reflects the standards of the time the game was released.

Wizardry 8: 6/10 points

Interesting game, and beautiful too, with a great character generation system. My big problem was the mundane nature of battles. They take too long, and too often i ended up fighting the same creatures over and over again. I prefer turn-based combat to the Baldur's Gate sort of combat, but this just took too long to resolve conflicts.
