Some quotes
At this year's E3 we are showing the first sneak peek of what we have in store with Dungeon Siege 2. To emphasize the advances we have made in the RPG genre, we created a very special trailer using the actual in-game rendering engine. The future is here and we are all extremely excited to be a part of it with the announcement of the next title in the Dungeon Siege franchise.

The art team is already putting things together and I saw some early concepts of things we're doing to take advantage of NVIDIA's technology; we're driving the polygon count up, we're increasing the texture density and the resolution, and this stuff is going to be just incredible. The visuals all game developers wanted are finally here.

Some facts

In DS2 youŽll start out with a single character and have a maximum party size of 6. They will create a new skill system that will force you to pay closer attention to each character during development and combat, but they want to avoid a more complex gameplay or a steeper learning curve.
-
The story will be orriginal and take place in a 100% new world.
-
The developers listend to the fan feedback wich will result (among other things, I might hope) in an much more advanced monster AI.
Another look at the E3 trailer
Keep in mind they made the trailer using the actual in-game rendering engine. Very sharp and very detailed.
Did you see that sky? Sky! Ever looked up in DS1?
DS2 is about to feature some very atmospheric lighting effects.
They did some hard work on the variety of animations...
It wouldnŽt be DS without the bosses and hordes of monsters.
Siege FX streched to the limits? This is quite a spell effect: now I believe that in DS2 each different character will matter more during combat.
A magic fire arrow light that path ahead of you.
