If you are interested in what Pharaoh Production's Dominion MMORPG is all about, there is a public design overview at the official Pharaoh website. Here's an excerpt:

The world of DOMINION will feature a number of different realms; places that have their own characteristics, creatures, structures, storylines, and more. Everything from forests to swamps to mountains and underground dungeons – all will be part of the world of DOMINION. The player will be able to travel between all of these realms through a number of methods including teleportation, underground systems, and more.

The breakdown of the world of DOMINION is proportionally the same for outdoor realms and indoor (or ‘below-ground’) realms. The players will be in awe of the sheer size of the world and the subterranean caverns that connect the different outdoor areas.

Another important feature of the outdoor realms is that of weather. DOMINION does have seasons and weather events that directly affect the player. The high mountains during the summer could be traversable, but during the winter a death trap for those who are caught in the open for too long. Wandering the desert at night is recommended since during the day the scorching heat can cause severe damage, as well as make encountered cold-blooded creatures much quicker and therefore deadlier.

The city of Coven might have a light snowfall during the winter, but beautiful summer days. Additionally, different creatures may come out during different seasons or after certain weather events. All of this is part of the immersion of the world that we are creating.

Indoor realms are not without their equivalent of weather as well, but we aren’t going to give everything away!
