I need to have the specialist class to equip those weapons. Does the adept skill affect my damage and chance to hit on my auto-attacks? A: Adept skills never help with auto attacks, even if you're wielding a specialized weapon that's only useable by a specialist class. If you make an attack with a skill from the Ranger skill tree, however, your bonus from Ranger Adept does apply.
