The fifth Xenus Dev Diary has been posted at ActionVault. Alexander Khrytsky, scriptwriter, talks about the Indians, one of the factions in the game:
A large number of different Indian tribes live in the territory of Colombia - there are Uva, Kogi, Guahiro, Bonda, Tayronas, Motilon, Karare Arauki, Arsaries, Kanquamas, Senu, Chimilas, Yuppa and Waioo, Chibcha. And this is far from the full list. Each of them has its own characteristics, native customs and legends. It's a pity, but for now the condition of Colombian (and all other Latin American) Indians cannot be called satisfactory. Colombian Indians are many in number and live in the farthest and least advanced regions of the country. And although they are not placed on reservations, they have many, many other problems. They experience oppression from the "death squadrons" and rich corporations. The former are taking revenge for the Indians' help (real or imagined) to the guerrillas; the latter are ready to drive them from their native lands if there is a chance to find oil or other minerals.
