GamerGod has kicked up the first of a three part interview with Dark and Light's Stephane Quilichini. Here's a snippet:GamerGod: How dynamic/interactive will the game world be?
Example 1- If I and my crew of miscreants kill all the wolves in an area, will there be a resultant explosion in the population of deer, potentially attracting an even more nasty predator than the wolves? Conversely, if we wiped out all the deer, would the wolves begin attacking local townsfolk for food?
Stephane: There are indeed new mob spawns, regarding the number of some mobs that are already spawned. For instance, if a baron spawns too much game in his barony, this will greatly increase the number of related predators.
Example 2- A group of Orcs spawns in an area. After going some amount of time without being defeated, they start wandering, eventually meeting up with other bands of Orcs, and eventually form either a war party that would attack nearby villages, or even form a settlement of their own, and then raid from there. |
