Second feature at Gamers Hell today is an interview with Jan Mrkvička and Martin Ladýř from DXT Computers about their game "The Legend". Here's something about the game and the influences on it:
Q: Every game must have a plot or a story it's built on. Tell us about this game's plot and the story behind it. Will the player be able to set the course of events?

A: The story is one of the most important element of the game for us. And so „The Legend“ tells about an encounter of 4 races (humans, barbarians, dwarfs and elves). Each of the races has its own specific sort of inventions / magic. And from that the story comes out. While in one episode humans need to exploit wood and are forced to cut in forests of elves, in another episode the player plays as an elf himself and tries to avert human threat and destruction of his own land. Each race also has its own desktop, fonts, strategy etc.

Q: The screenshots of "The Legend" remind me somehow of Warcraft 3, and other strategy games. Please compare these two games mentioning the advantages and disadvantages.

A: We admit that we have been inspired by Warcraft 3, neverthless we try to go to the bottom of RPG. For example the player has got several heroes who have to survive, but he also can hire other heroes whose features he can improve. And he can improve not only such features as attack, lifes, speed, etc.. stats, but can learn also magics and even gain abilities to convert machines, take buildings, etc.
