Gamers.com has posted up a preview of EverQuest Online Adventures for Sony's Playstation 2.

Here's an interesting snip for PS2 gamers:
All of those addictive qualities are going to be available to you next spring, when Everquest Online Adventures releases on PS2. But it won't just be a port of the PC version of the game. Sony Online Entertainment has been working for almost two years now on this completely original Everquest game that takes place 500 years before the original. "A port simply would not have worked," executive producer Rod Humble informs us. "Adventures is designed to be played in the living room, which is a totally different environment from the study or bedroom where PC games are played." Aside from graphical changes and enhancements for the PS2, certain things such as the way the game stores data needed to be adjusted (for example, player characters may be stored on a Memory Card). Also, Sony is adding in a way for gamers to communicate with each other with a standard controller that uses pre-selected phrases like "I need health" (though, of course, a PS2 Keyboard and Mouse can be used, if preferred). "Certainly chat is a lot easier with a keyboard but not mandatory," says Humble. "I don't know how others will want to play, but for me, lying back on my couch with both feet up, controller in one hand, beverage in the other as my friends and I go dungeon delving, is the preferred method."
